For centuries, Sicily has been celebrated for the quality of its pastries. Since 1953 Fiasconaro, a family run company nestled in the village of Castelbuono, has carried on that ancient tradition through three generations of master confectioners. They use only authentic recipes and the finest Sicilian ingredients: fragrant citrus fruit, tender almonds and pistachios, and plump raisins. Fiasconaro's creations are distinguished by a natural leavening process, a slow fermentation method that lasts 36 hours. Their respect for the pure flavors of locally grown produce, seasonal sensibility, and an unshakable faith in tradition have resulted in success both at home and internationally.
