Based in Saronno, just outside Milan, Chiostro di Saronno creates confectionery specialties and liqueurs and is especially well known for their Amaretti biscuits, panettone, and the Amaretto liqueur. Today, the company is led by Paolo and Luca Lazzaroni, the 7th and 8th generations of a family of entrepreneurs deeply rooted in the Italian culinary tradition. The name “Chiostro di Saronno” is inspired by an ancient Franciscan cloister located in the center of Saronno, the home of their company and repository of their treasured recipes. Their panettone is crafted according to the traditional recipe and methods, with slow, natural leavening over several days. Only the freshest, natural ingredients — flour, milk, eggs, and butter, and fruit — are carefully selected, preserving the authentic taste of Italy's culinary heritage.
