- Domori Chocolate was founded in 1997 by Gianluca Franzoni. In 1993, after completing his business studies, he traveled to Venezuela, where he became captivated by the magic of chocolate. For three years, he lived among the cocoa fields, studying different cacao varieties with the goal of preserving biodiversity and preventing the extinction of Criollo cacao — a rare type that makes up only 0.01% of global cacao cultivation.
