In 1905, Genaro Fabbri transformed a small grocery store with a wine cellar in Portomaggiore into “Premiata Distilleria Liquori G. Fabbri”, marking the beginning of the iconic Fabbri 1905 legacy. Initially focused on syrups, the company’s most famous creation was introduced in 1915: “Marena con frutto” - whole amarena cherries in syrup. The recipe was inspired by Genaro’s wife, Rachele, who envisioned transforming a simple natural product into a symbol of taste and flavor.
